Has decided to retire from international cricket, former West Indies captain Shivnarine Chanderpaul. A West Indies
Cricket Board has informed me of his decision by e-mail.
The 41-year-old Chanderpaul had been neglected by the
selectors for quite a while.
Poor performance of the three-Test series against England at home
since a lot of it was not being accepted. Since May last year, he was pretty
far away from cricket.
And in June, he said, will retire from international cricket
at the end of the year. And now he has officially announced its decision, the
West Indies Cricket Board.
West Indies Cricket Board President Dave Cameron,
Chanderpaul honor for his outstanding contribution in the global game and good
luck for us.
Shivnarine Chanderpaul made his international debut two
years ago. He has a career total of 164 Tests and 268 one-day matches.
Shivnarine Chanderpaul, West Indies team has
scored the second highest in Tests. Has 11867 runs in Test matches.
With just 86 runs from his first Brian Lara. Chanderpaul was
the best player in the history of the West Indies
cricket career ended.
